Make an anniversary website for your partner
An anniversary is the one date a year when the whole story is the point. Not one photo, not one line, but all of it: how you met, the first trip, the flat with the broken radiator, the day you knew. An anniversary website gives that story a shape you can hand over in a single link.
Longlove builds it as a page rather than a slideshow. You pick a format, drop in the milestones, write the letter, add the counter that has been ticking since your first day, and send it. They open it on their phone, in bed, on the morning of. Then they can write back, and you get the email.
Start from the timeline, not the photos
On an anniversary the order matters, so begin with the timeline block rather than the gallery. Aim for six to ten milestones, each with a date, one line, and one photo: the first message, the first date, the first trip, the first time one of you said it, moving in, the hard month you got through, this year. Writing the timeline first does two useful things. It sorts your photos for you, because each milestone wants exactly one picture and the rest go to the gallery. And it tells you what the letter needs to say, because you will notice which two or three moments you keep coming back to while you type the dates. Those are the letter. The timeline is also the block your partner will scroll slowest through, so give the captions real detail: the name of the cafe, what it was raining like, the thing they said.
Use the counter for the number they do not know
They know how many years it has been. They do not know it has been 1,461 days, or 35,064 hours, or that you have had roughly 2,900 breakfasts within arm's reach of each other. The Together for block counts live from your start date, down to the second, so the number is different every time the page is opened and always a little absurd. Put it high on the page, right under the header, where it works as the opening line. Pair it with the moon phase block, which draws the moon exactly as it looked on the night you met or the night of the first date. It is a small, specific detail that people remember years later, and it takes one date field to set up. Both blocks accept any date, so use whichever day you count from.
Make the letter about this year
The most common mistake in an anniversary letter is trying to summarise the entire relationship. The timeline has already done that job. Make the letter about the last twelve months instead: what changed, one thing you noticed about them that they probably did not notice about themselves, one thing you want for the year ahead. That is 150 to 250 words, which is the right length for a phone screen. Put it in the sealed letter block so it has to be tapped open; short text gets a proper reveal that way. If you cannot get started, the AI assistant drafts a version from three prompts about your year. Keep the sentences that sound like you and delete the rest. The letter should read like a text you would send, only slower.
Pick a format that matches the mood
LoveFlix turns every block into an episode of your series, complete with a 'Who's watching?' screen, and it lands well on anniversaries because it makes the 'season three' joke for you. Front Page turns the day into a newspaper with your photo on A1 and the milestones as column stories, which reads as an event. Classic is the safe choice if your partner is not the type to laugh at a streaming parody, and it puts the letter front and centre. You do not have to decide now: every block works in every format, so build once, preview in two formats, and pick the one that made you smile. The demo pages show all six with real content. If you are torn, go LoveFlix for a partner who narrates your life in seasons, Front Page for one who likes a bit of theatre, and Classic for one who will read every word of the letter twice.
Send it the night before, unlocked at midnight
Use scheduled unlock. Send the link at ten in the evening; the page shows a countdown and opens by itself at midnight in their timezone, so it is the first thing waiting on their phone. You get an email the moment it is opened. The page ends with a reply box, text or a short voice note, which gives them somewhere to put the reaction that is not a two-word text. If you have a WhatsApp export handy, the chat insights block is a strong closing: messages since your start date, who says good night first, the emoji you overuse. It is parsed on your own device, and only the totals go on the page. If your partner is a morning person, set the unlock for six instead; the point is that the page is waiting before the day has started, not the exact hour.
